Dr Jennifer Buckingham is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Independent Studies and Director of the FIVE from FIVE reading project. Jennifer has written numerous reports, papers and journal articles on education, as well as several hundred opinion pieces in major media publications. Her PhD research was on teaching reading and she founded the FIVE from FIVE project to bridge the gap between research and practice on effective reading instruction. The project provides information and resources for teachers, parents, and policymakers. Jennifer is also an Associate Investigator at the Centre of Excellence in Cognition and Its Disorders and a Director of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership.
